At Tethix, we're looking for Pathfinders, who will help us discover better tech futures through #codesign and #playtesting.
@m3me explains it better on our blog:
https://tethix.co/blog/tethix-pathfinders/
And if you'd like to learn more about Tethix, I recently recorded a 12min overview of our story so far: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3_n2DthgfA
Excited to continue our exploration adventure! ⛵
The speaker asks "Can everyone hear me okay?"
Someone responds "Yes!"
The speaker starts their presentation.
The people who can not hear of course never respond.
Just came across https://excalidraw.com/ – an open-source, end-to-end encrypted virtual whiteboard for sketching diagrams that look hand-drawn. Love the style and simplicity, definitely one to bookmark! #tools
The world is a crazy place right now, and it might feel impossible to make a difference, but we're hoping to encourage more ethical discussions in the workplace with Pledge Works, a practical tool that invites you to write pledges for better outcomes: https://responsibletech.work/blog/2022/3/1/pledge-works-writing-pledges-for-better-outcomes/
Feedback welcome!
Also, not gonna lie: love challenges like this. But now I need to spend time on client projects. 😁
Phew, found this:
> "If you're a Ghost(Pro) customer and would like a publication image directory, email us and we'll provide this for you."
That should solve most of it if I can move the images to the right folder.
A feature of email is that my inbox is an immutable copy of everything I received no-one can change.
With email, I can prove I've been harassed, sent malware, wrong links, illegal orders by my employers, the date of an event I've missed because it was wrong and I'm innocent, etc.
With Google AMP, the sender will be able to "update" those emails and deny his mistake, hide proofs, fake the history.
This technology put people at risk.
One of my vices is buying domain names. No, don't ask me how many I have (I have actually started getting rid of many). But also, now that I'm setting up and moving to my own VPS I realise there is just such a mess of old abandoned pet projects and prototypes for clients it's going to take a while to sort out... 😬 all these mysql databases are going to give me a headache.

Typewriter trivia: The first mechanical typing machine was invented by italian Pellegrino Turri for his blind friend Countess Carolina Fantoni da Fivizzano so she could write him letters. It's suggested they were love letters.
Attached an image from one of the surviving letters.
The 1st feature is the QWERTY keyboard, invented by Christopher Latham Sholes. The feature added to the Remington no. 2, released in 1880 and later used by Agatha Christie, is the SHIFT key
And the tale is true, the QWERTY keyboard was thus designed to solve jamming problems.
Been busy setting up my own VPS and using Cloudron to install some software, including Mastodon. So I’ll likely move my instance with masto.host to my own server this weekend. Will likely result in some downtime and lost toots/images. But I do like the idea of being more self-sufficient. Now is the time to do it 😅
A few years ago I made this flow chart of which Mastodon posts end up in which timelines!
So, you can see how each instance will have a different local timeline, and even a slightly different federated timeline - and you can see why the federated timeline moves so much faster than the local one, too.
This is why it's important to boost good posts and use hashtags - the fediverse is fragmented and harder to search by nature.
